The University Students’ Association of Ghana wishes to brief the entire student fraternity on the progress of the union’s decision to find lasting solutions to the happenings on the University of Education – Winneba and Ajumako campuses.
In light of this, USAG NEO together with the SRC Presidents paid a visit to the Central Regional Minister who doubles as the Chairman of the Regional Security Council, Hon. Kwamena Duncan to discuss and develop pragmatic measures to ensure students return to their academic work with total security assurance.
The USAG President, Kingsley Sarpong Akowuah in his address commended the Central Regional Minister for his timely intervention in the closure of the school avoiding high level of violence and chaos on the campuses. He besieged the Regional Minister to speed up processes for students to resume their academic work as soon as possible, explaining that the prolonged closure of the school would serve as a detriment to the final years since there will be changes in the academic calendar.
