Heavy Budget Movie ‘Away Bus’ To Be Premiered On Easter Saturday

Ghanaian filmmakers Kofi Asamoah and Peter Sedufia are set to release another must watch movie which comes with the blend of English and Twi speaking actors and actresses in the industry.

Away Bus features John Dumelo, Agya Koo, Mikki Osei-Berko, Fella Makafui, Tracey Boakye, Abeiku Santana, Priscilla Opoku-Agyeman (Ahoufe Patri), Kalybos, Yaw Dabo and Big Akwes. According to the producers, the blend is to ignite excitement among movie lovers and further help bring the industry back to life.

The movie welcomes the return of Kumawood star, Agya Koo, who plays the role of an uncooperative passenger on board a bus that has been attacked by armed robbers in Away Bus.


Producers reveal that sponsors signed heavy cheques to make sure the movie satisfies global consumption even though they refused to give full detail on the budget for the entire production.

The movie centered on family love, money and friendship. Salma Mumin who plays the lead character as Kiiki had to do everything possible to save her dying mother at the hospital. In the quest to achieve that she and her friends had to rob a bus but, after the successful robbery, another armed gang attacked them for the money they have robbed. And that’s where the story unfolds.

The movie is premiering on the 20th April in Silverbird Cenimas at Accra Mall and West Hills Mall. A ticket goes for 50 Ghanaian Cedis.

Tickets are available at all Telefonika Shops, SilverBird Cinemas, Salma’s Eatery (East Legon), Koffee Lounge ANC Mall (East Legon), Baatsona Total (Spintex) and Airport Shell.
